You Like That?

Art has always been a way to explore the deeper parts of my subconscious, reflecting my inner thoughts, emotions, and simply allowing honesty towards myself and others.
Lately, I've been experiencing the modern ways of romance as a single young woman that yearns to love and to be loved. This journey of mine inspired me to make this painting titled "You Like That?" depicting a young lady, sitting adorably, sensually, stripped down, ready to receive the love that was promised by the sweet words she'd often hear.
However, the soft pastel colours, and the cheeky tone of the painting is intentionally contrasted with the dark, bloody, gory insides that is innocently revealed by the young lady. Throughout my journey to find love, I had to accept a very tough realisation, love unfortunately scares a lot of people. Being honest about your accomplishments, your shortcomings, your dreams, your fears, terrifies a lot of people. Despite all that, I came out of it with a wonderful lesson; I never needed to find love at all. I have always loved fully and been loved fully more than I've known, and love will never scare the people that are always meant to be in your life.
