This lighting installation is a personification of a transformative journey—driven by the impulse to confront fear, societal stigma, and the courage to liberate the self from the conditioning, attachments, and shackles of obsolete values embedded deep within the subconscious. The adoption of a traditional urn form, complete with its pedestal, serves as an analogy for a persona constructed through the injection of collective memories regarding conventional norms. This conditioning of pseudo-values has, both directly and indirectly, become an invisible "prison" that stifles the growth of the soul while hindering the evolution of self-awareness.
The work is born from a collaboration between spontaneity and meticulous manual hand- skills, utilizing 3D-pen hand-sculpted techniques to manipulate filament material into a contemporary decorative piece. This exploration yields an organic aesthetic characterized by random dynamic patterns and rugged textures. It is a representation of the evolution of self- awareness that continually learns through a succession of trials and errors. It embodies the courage to embrace the honest truth: that our consciousness grows and expands through the various mistakes and "ugly" truths of our past. It acknowledges that no true learning arises from a seamless journey; wisdom is earned through the turbulent dynamics of life.
The internal light provides the strength to rise and stand tall against the shackles created by collective memory.
